Margaret Ann Wright (nee Mataya) 12/14/1941 to 11/11/2017 “He was mastered by the sheer surging of life, the tidal wave of being, the perfect joy of each separate muscle, joint, and sinew in that it was everything that was not death, that it was aglow and rampant, expressing itself in movement, flying exultantly under the stars.” - Jack London, Call of the Wild A strange quote to mark the end of someone’s life, you might think, but exceedingly appropriate, we think, for a woman who taught so many to live. Fully, freely, and lovingly. A woman who is now untethered and aglow, flying exultantly under the stars. Born in Iowa as Margaret Ann Mataya. Passed in Brigantine, New Jersey as Marge, Mom, Nana. Daughter to Stanley and Ann Mataya; Sister to John Mataya, Paulette Anderson and Lica Dial. Wife to Macy. Mother of four: Macy (Nancy), Margaret Ann (Pat McGowan,) Ann Nicole (Jim Hines,) and Kevin (Tracey); The “Thundering Herd.” An unruly brood, perhaps, but a devoted one. Nana to 7; note, the nomenclature “Nana” encompasses a breadth of influences and depth of love that exceeds any other – as Samantha, Courtney, Bobby, Kirsten, Devon, Patrick and Tommy will attest. “Spitfire” to her caretakers, and inspiration to all. She is the heart, the soul, the lighthouse guiding the Wright family home. And so she will continue to be. Rest in peace, love. Viewing will be held on Friday November 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A family eulogy will begin at 8:00 pm.
