Joseph H. Riess, Jr.

Joseph H. Riess, Jr. age 71, of Tansboro, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, after watching his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles win the super bowl. He is survived by his children, Jason Wallace, Sr. (fiancé, Valerie), Rita Pressler (Michael) and Tiffany Wallace, grandchildren, Robert, Kaitlynn, Rianna, Jessica, Cindy, Jason Jr., Samantha, Nolan, Peyton, Mikey, Mykayla, Matthew, Miranda, Maddalyn, and Mary as well as his great grandchildren, Abigail, Jayce, Brooklyn, Spencer, Howard V, Ariela and Melany. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen, sisters, Linda, Alice, Janet, and Rhonda, and his grandchild, Melanie.

Joseph was born and raised in New Jersey. He was a devoted father, brother, poppop and uncle to many. Joe was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan, loved to fish, competed in pool tournaments and enjoyed the time spent with his son during their weekly pool games. He also dabbled in the game of chess. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends, often taking road trips out of state to visit grandkids.

Cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. Family and friends are invited to attend Joseph's visitation on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Inurnment to follow at New Freedom Cemetery.  Condolences may be shared on his tribute wall.
