Charles R. Compton

Charles R. Compton age 77yrs. of Voorhees, NJ (formerly of Collingswood, NJ) passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 comfortably in his sleep. Mr. Compton is predeceased by his sons, Chad Compton and Chuck Compton. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Compton and daughter in law Krysta of Westville, NJ, his step son, Kevin Daly and step daughter, Faith Rubin. He also leaves behind his feline companion, “Quirky,” who has been rescued by family. Charles spent his early adulthood as a teacher and tutor of high school mathematics. As a graduate of Albright College, he enjoyed passing his knowledge onto younger generations. Charles spent his life as an avid Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles fan. He coached both baseball and hockey for his son’s teams. He also enjoyed taking family vacations, collecting photo albums, and home movies for reminiscing. Cremation will be held privately.
