Albert "Bud" Schramm

March 4, 1947 — December 19, 2020

Albert J Schramm (Bud), 73, of Medford, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Helen F. Schramm (nee Fognano) and Albert Schramm. Bud grew up in Atco, NJ, attending Edgewood High School where he was the captain of the wrestling team and State Medal Winner in 1964. He went on to attend University of Maryland where he received his Bachelors of Science in Economics. After graduation, Bud went into business for himself as the owner of Crown Liquors in Gibbsboro and Washington Twp, NJ. He was a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Voorhees. Bud was an avid race car enthusiast. He started racing in the early 70s with the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). This only grew his passion which lead him to become a Semi Professional Race Car Driver with Formula Ford. He has raced at tracks across America and Canada with SCCA and International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). He has been a member of the Schattenbaum Region Porsche Club of America (PCA) since 1975. As a nationally trained driving instructor for PCA and Mercedes Benz, he has taught many students in race car and track driving instruction. This “hobby” didn’t even begin to slow down until the early 2000s. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marcia Schramm (nee Kravitiz). Loving father of Marc D. Schramm of West Chester, PA, Suzanne Schramm of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Erica Schramm (Alexander Sewell) of Moorestown, NJ. Grandfather to Saige Schramm and Chase Schramm. He is also survived by his sister, Janis Schroeder (Dave) of North Carolina. Due to current restrictions, there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Bud’s name to the RSDS Foundation www.rsds.org/donate/ in honor of his daughter Suzanne.
